Koh Samui Hotel Reviews - Mai Samui Beach Resort

"Great time in Mai Samui" We had a great experience in Mai Samui although we were a bit disappointed when we got there just to realize there was no beach due to the heavy monsoon rains this last year. But they were working hard, 24hs/day, to restore the sandy beach. After 2 days we could already relax at the beach beds by the beach and enjoy some beautiful sunny days. They were very understanding of the situation and compensated the guests either with discounts or meals. That said, I have to say that the resort is sooo beautiful, well maintained in small details, the rooms are spacious and modern, the bathtub in the balcony is a plus, good service as usually in Thailand, and good food. The hotel is located away from Chaweng, so is a quiet location. If you are looking for night life close by, this is not a hotel for you. But we were glad we chose Mai Samui after being to Chaweng. This is the side of the island to see the most beautiful sunsets!! The resort has a huge and beautiful infinite pool with 2 bars where you can also have light meals.

I did the cooking class by myself since my husband doesn't like to cook but eat:) It was a good experience going to the local market in the morning with the chef and cooking later on. Try it if you like cooking! We also rented a motorbike, arranged by the hotel, to tour the island. This is a good way to do it since taxis are very expensive here. Reading the reviews here, we decided to go for a late lunch at the Nuch's Green Talay in the south of the island. It was well worth the ride to find this hidden restaurant cause we had the best thai meal ever. And watched a beautiful sunset.

I completely recommend the resort and wish I can go back any time.

"Luxury to a T" Beautiful resort on a more peaceful side of the island, near Nathon. Service was second to none from the moment you're collected from the airport and presented with an Orchid garland, and much needed cool towel and bottle of water! grounds were amazing, as were the pool and beach areas. Staff couldn't do enough for you, we weren't even allowed to put our beach towels on the lounger ourselves! Both restaurants were great (although quite pricey) and breakfast was extensive and very good. The Mai Samui was the perfect haven to return to after our days out and the beach had amazing sunsets and views of the marine park islands. Cabs are very pricey on the island which can be restrictive if you don't want to hire a scooter or a car - but we were happy to spend time at the resort in all it's luxury and tranquility!

This hotel is locating back side of Samui island, and then there are not so many shop around this hotel. if you prefer night life, this hotel is not suitable. However, if you prefer scilent night for relux, this hotel will be the best. Ocean and swimming pool view at night time is so nice to feel comfortable. Staff also good, big hospitality. You can enjoy mountain bike with free of charge. Day time, you can visit anywhere by bicycle. I wanna stay here again.

"A unique experiance" we were looking forward and expected to enjoy our first visit to Samui but staying in Samui mai turned out to be the highlight of our vacation this summer. The hotel offered a very warm and relaxing atmosphere with pools all around us. The stay in the double delux pool suit was nothing less than perfect as we had our own pool and sea view at the same time. The staff were extremely nice and attenative and made us feel welcome. The shuttle bus to Chewing beach was puntual .Over all a fantastic experiance . Staff told me that Mai is a new resort just opened a few months ago .As someone with a lot of nice hotel stays over the past 25 years, our stay in mai was memorable and among the top of my list.

"Paradsie in Koh Samui" We are a couple from Australia and this is our first time visiting Koh Samui. Our vacation is for 2 weeks. The first week we stayed in Chaweng area which is very busy area all day and nights so we designed to moved to MAI SAMUI BEACH RESORT & SPA in Lam Yai Beach. This is our heaven on earth with the most relaxing and private beach. The location of the hotel is much different from where we were on the first few days. We can lay down on the beach and enjoy the largest pool I ever seen before. We would like to thank you all the excellent services we had during our stay and we would definitely come back to this hotel again
